About this Project
The roots of this installation are heavily wrapped around feelings and goals that that were unknown to myself, and the model herself.
Generally the chemical process triggered by the suspension process, leads to a level of euphoria that is akin to a psychedelic experience, or even an atheletic high.
It is always, invariably, a personal experience. The suspending party discovers their limitations, and their limitlessness all at once.
In the case of this piece, the session opened a window into a shared path between two individuals: Amanda, and myself. We have been creating art together across many mediums ever since.
Unexpected invocations like this shed light on sources of love, desires, and one's readiness for companionship. Our capacities go beyond the physical and mental, and deep into the realm of the heart.
